Why we started RST

Footage is forensic. It tells you what already happened, to money you have already lost. We think the job is to stop it while it is still starting. That takes machines and people working as one system, not a camera grid nobody is watching.

We choose the equipment. We install it. We connect it to what you already run. Then we take on the part most companies leave to someone else — keeping it working on a real site, for years, in bad weather, at 2am.

Patrol in any weather, over curbs, slopes, gravel, grass and ramps. They charge themselves between rounds. Routes vary, so nobody can stand across the road and time the loop. And the software can send one straight to an alarm instead of waiting for the next pass.

We detect, track and identify drones over your property. Where you hold the authority, we supply systems that can stop one. Most sites have no idea what flies over them. That is a sensing problem first and a legal question second, and we treat it in that order.

Counter-drone, step by step

A radar on its own is a science project. Counter-drone only matters as a sequence that ends in a decision somebody is legally allowed to make — and a record of who made it.

Detect

Radio detection, radar, sound and the drone's own ID broadcast — layered, because no single sensor catches every aircraft.

Track

Combine what separate sensors see into one track, so your team argues about the threat rather than about which screen is right.

Identify

Aircraft type, flight pattern and likely intent. Tell the hobbyist over the fence apart from the flight that repeats at the same hour.

Decide

A person with the authority decides. Stopping a drone is federally restricted, so we only install that capability where you legally hold the right.

Act and record

Point a camera, launch a drone, alert your team, or — where you hold the authority — intervene. Then produce a record that stands up to review.

From first visit to running fleet

A robot that can't get through your gate, over your curb or onto your network is an expensive paperweight. The site visit is where these projects succeed or fail.

Visit

We walk the property. Ground conditions, slopes, gates, surfaces, weather, lighting, network coverage, what cameras and door systems are already there, what you currently spend on guarding it, and what you're actually trying to stop.

Plan

Coverage and patrol routes mapped out, equipment chosen and specified, a decision on how each existing system gets connected, and a written scope you can hand to your own IT and insurance people.

Install

Docks and charging, network, site mapping, restricted areas, connections into your cameras and door systems, and hands-on training — then a trial period running alongside your current process until the results hold up.

Run

The fleet goes live. Alerts are handled against your written procedures, maintenance runs on schedule, and we sit down every quarter to review what actually got prevented and what should change.

Six commitments we put in the contract

Not principles — commitments, and the reasons they exist. Each one costs us something, which is exactly why they are worth reading.

We own the robots. You don't.

Title stays with RST. You're buying covered hours, not a capital asset that's obsolete in eighteen months and worth nothing on your balance sheet when it is. If a better platform ships mid-contract, swapping it is our cost and our logistics problem, not a write-off on yours.

Why it matters: nobody who resells you hardware can offer this — once they've sold the box, the depreciation is yours.

A technician inside your service radius.

Every deployment is scoped against a service radius before we quote it, with a qualified technician committed to a contracted response window and an uptime guarantee backed by service credits when we miss it. Spare parts sit on a shelf within driving distance of your site.

Why it matters: equipment in the field is an operations problem long before it is a technology problem. Somebody has to be able to get to it.

The insurance is in our name.

General liability, umbrella and technology errors-and-omissions cover, carried by RST as a condition of our manufacturer agreements. When a robot clips a resident's car in your car park, the claim goes to our policy and our adjuster — not to your property insurer, and not into a two-year argument with a vendor overseas.

Why it matters: this is the single question your risk manager will ask, and most robotics vendors have no answer to it.

Our people take the first alarm, not yours.

First-line triage runs on our side, against procedures we write with you during installation. Your team gets a verified incident with the footage attached. They don't get four hundred motion alerts a night, which is how every camera system ends up ignored within a month.

Why it matters: a guard company adding robots has to staff this themselves. We already do.

If a manufacturer fails, your site doesn't.

Every platform sits behind an adapter layer, so replacing one is a configuration change rather than ripping out an installation. With smaller manufacturers we negotiate source escrow or manufacturing rights before we field them, so the capability survives the supplier.

Why it matters: your site should never be a bet on one company. The adapter layer is what keeps it from being one.

Nothing gets deployed off a brochure.

Every engagement starts with a paid walk-through: gate widths, curb heights, slopes, surfaces, network coverage, your existing cameras and door panels, and what the site costs you to guard today. We've told people the honest answer was a light, a camera and a locked gate. The survey fee is what lets us say that.

Why it matters: a free survey is a sales call. You get told what you're buying either way.

How equipment earns its way onto your site

We choose equipment site by site rather than defending one product line. Every platform clears the same three stages before it is allowed near a customer.

Step 01

Evaluating

Specifications, legal and supply-chain position, support model, warranty, spare-parts route and software connections all under review. Nothing goes on a customer site at this stage.

Step 02

Connected and tested

The equipment is wired into our software and run in a trial period against a live site until we know how it behaves — and until we've broken one and repaired it ourselves.

Step 03

In service

Cleared for customer sites, with spare parts stocked, technicians trained on it, and an uptime guarantee we're willing to put in a contract.

What we actually do

Robot Security Team installs and runs autonomous security equipment for commercial properties. We select from several manufacturers rather than defending one product line, license the software that ties everything together rather than pretending we wrote all of it, and carry the work that both manufacturers and software companies prefer to leave to somebody else — installation, servicing, insurance and uptime.

That structure is deliberate. A manufacturer is motivated to fit its own product to your problem. We're motivated to fit the right product to your problem, including telling you when a robot is the wrong answer.

We work behind the security companies we partner with. If you provide guarding, we supply the equipment, the insurance, the technicians and the spare-parts shelf — none of it landing on your balance sheet, and your officers and your client stay yours.
